Nena Butterfield
I started out in research with a passion for solving mysteries of autism spectrum disorders following an internship in teaching children with autism. I enjoyed research during my PhD but also gained enthusiasm for clinical work during a postdoctoral fellowship at the Alabama Autism Clinic. I developed a strong skillset in oral presentation, grant writing, literature publication and editing, and quantitative research during my postdoc. Subsequently, I wanted to hone my clinical and management skills and develop credentials in the clinical and business world. My passion is in working with and helping clients in the mental health field and my greatest strength is in team management, project organization, and people interaction. I am currently studying nursing to pursue a career in the hospital system working more closely with patients and patient care.
