Nicholas LaRocca

Majoring in Broadcasting And Mass Communication
SUNY Oswego
From Washingtonville, NY
From an early age I've always had a passion for media and entertainment. By the time junior year of high school rolled around media and communications was the field that I wold love to aspire to work in when I am older. After knowing that this was a field I had a passionate interest in I took courses like journalism and creative writing, along with being involved in my high schools television network called BGTV my senior year of high school. My love and passion for the field grew after dealing with all the hands on work that this field demands after senior year of high school. This made me go on to Rockland Community College to become Mass Media and Communications Arts Major. At RCC I took many valuable classes such as Television Production I (introduction) & II (Advanced), Broadcast Writing, Introduction to Audio Production, and Advanced Mass Communications classes. At Rockland Community College I found a place in the field focusing on being above the line in the production focusing on being talent as well as the television/film crew work of the production doing camera work. After graduating in the spring of 2017 I am looking to continue my education at SUNY Oswego to further pursue my goals of working in this field one day.
