The Involvement of Native Americans in the Civil War and the Impact of Reconstruction on Their Lives and Lands.

This was a final project for my Civil war and Reconstruction period course that I am proud of. This article details the mistreatment and involvement of Native Americans in the Civil War on both sides, and how Reconstruction in the South impacted both their lives and lands.

Napoleon’s Campaign in Egypt & the Egyptian Response: A Historiographical Essay

This is a final project I worked on for my History of the Middle East course and it was quite challenging but I found myself have quite a bit of fun learning about it. In this assignment I wrote about the three year French occupation of Egypt under Napoleon from 1798-1801

The Case Against The BIA: The Native American Struggle for Proper Representation

I pride myself on the fact that while at SNHU within my history major I have been able to write about the harsh reality of American history from topics like Japanese Interment, to King Phillip's war where we as Americans(and soon to be Americans) treated and prosecuted innocent people in such a vile manner that it is often hard to stomach. I believe it is extremely important to continue to learn all facets of American history even those that make us feel uncomfortable. It's also important to learn and teach the public that these issues are not just 100s of years ago. which was the main purpose of this paper, where I wrote about the 71 day occupation of Wounded Knee in 1973, and how corruption within in the BIA a government entity established to handle Native American affairs was a major contributing factor to the occupation.
