Nicole Lambi
Fairfield University, Class of 2017
From Cumberland, RI
I am an enthusiastic, self-motivated student at Fairfield University, who will graduate in the spring of 2017 with a degree in Accounting and a minor in Psychology and Mathematics. I consider myself to be a well-rounded person, for I am consistently challenging myself to be involved both socially and academically. After being awarded the highest academic scholarship given by Fairfield University, I am now a selected Magis Scholar who is expected to push myself to do more than the average student in order to make the most of the opportunities presented. I am an active member of multiple dance teams on campus and hold the position of secretary, which requires leadership, confidence and strong time management skills. I also enjoy spending my time as a Student Tour Ambassador, where I serve as a front line force in representing Fairfield through appearance, professional conduct and superior communication skills.
At the same time, I continuously seek out business opportunities in order to further advance my career path. As of this year, I have become a part of the four-year Professional Developmental Series program to gain the necessary knowledge and strategies that will prepare me for the competitive business environment. I have also become an active member of the Accounting Club to start networking with recruiters, and have participated in the PwC 2014 Case Challenge Competition which required much critical thinking in order to solve high-level tax and accounting policy issues. While taking advantage of these business opportunities, I have also leveraged a significant amount of my time to volunteer work and community service all while maintaining a 3.94 GPA. I am confident that I have applied the best of myself throughout my college experience thus far, and look forward to challenging myself even further in order to pursue my career goals and gain a competitive edge in the challenging business world.
