Austin Goodenough

I am Austin Goodenough, a Journalism major at RIT and, at the same time, a Rochester City Scholar, having graduated from East High School on June 25, 2016. I was diagnosed with PDDNOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified, part of the Autism spectrum) at around 3 years of age. Doctors have told my mother that I would never speak nor care for myself, but that disability has not stopped me from being who I am today, a college student pursuing a bachelor's degree at a big college campus. Nowadays, I am aiming to achieve my Bachelor's in Journalism within a few years, but I may take a little longer than normal to achieve it. I've still got a LOT to do, but I will try my hardest to get it all done. If you see me anywhere throughout the campus, with my backpack and Lenovo Thinkpad, I will be approachable for conversation most of the time, and I will often have a lot to share myself.
