Olivia Amyette is a Computer Science graduate currently working as the CEO of her solar energy company. While a student at Georgia Tech, Olivia has worked as a student assistant, Instructional Engineer, and Technical Program Manager for the Leadership Education and Development department.
Olivia has spent a significant portion of her academic career working in teams with other students to implement projects to reinforce coding skills taught in the classroom. Some of these projects include making an Android game, several GameboyAdvance games, and websites featuring graph/data visualizations utilizing Javascript's D3.JS library. Olivia has even made significant progress in the creation of an application aiming to help Georgia Tech students quickly and efficiently find study spaces on campus using campus mapping and GEO location technologies. Currently, Olivia is working on an academic project alongside other students to code a web-application that will aid impoverished Atlantans living with chronic illnesses in finding foods that are compatible with their complex dietary restrictions.
Outside of academics, Olivia maintains involvement in several organizations/activities. Olivia, a past Grand Challenger, strongly believes in helping others through volunteer service, and regularly aids students in the current Grand Challenges course in any way she can. As a strong believer in the power of mentorship and philanthropy, Olivia maintains campus leadership positions, including working as a Grand Challenges Ambassador, Social Media Coordinator for the Student Alumni Association, Recruiter and Chair of New Membership for the Women's Recruitment Team, Team Member in the Teams for Tech program, GT1000 Team Leader, and volunteering for the Hispanic Community at Tech via the Goizueta Scholarship group.
During her free time, Olivia enjoys spending time with friends, family, and volunteering at senior living facilities near home.
