I am particularly interested in the aspect of career technical education as a driver of economic prosperity.

Supervise all academic programs, career and technical satellite programs, Food Service Staff, media center staff, the technology integration team, student council, yearbook.
Responsibilities :
Observe and evaluate instructional staff, both career tech and academic, through OTES, to improve student learning
Communicate high expectations of performance for staff and students
Communicate and interpret measurements of accountability, both under OTES, OPES, and RESA for staff
Communicate staff performance to Director and Superintendent
Work with Instructors to design challenging curriculum that is aligned with state standards and Common Core and 21st Century learning competencies
Meet with Technology Integration Committee to create vision, long-term and short-term goals for the Technology Integration Team.
Meet monthly with Technology Integration Team to evaluate progress and determine the ever-changing needs of staff for technology instruction
Meet with district Technology Administrator and Superintendent to evaluate district needs and budget
Encourage and inspire instructional staff to incorporate new instructional strategies and technologies into lessons
Serve as a Resource Specialist by creating and seeking professional development opportunities for staff
Collaboratively create vision and develop programs for School Improvement plan
Work with continuous improvement committees to seek district-wide improvement
Support the change process through professional development opportunities
Interview and recommend new staff to Superintendent
Develop On-boarding activities for new staff
Work closely with business, industry, media and various community organizations to enhance Apollo Career Center’s image
Develop and organize orientation activities for incoming students
Encourage staff and provide opportunities for staff to take leadership roles
Seek grant opportunities to support student learning needs
Annually review, analyze and recommend district policy updates
