Her main research interests are labor economics related to immigration and applied econometrics. In the area of immigration, she works on investigating possibilities of new types of immigrant visas. Specifically, she is interested in the effects that hypothetical new visas could have on wages, output, and population size. Furthermore, she aims to conduct future research investigating immigrant movement patterns after arrival in the United States. Regarding applied econometrics, her passion lies in attempting to develop new statistical tests that allow the comparison of data distributions while taking into account some of the constraints related to the structural characteristics of survey data.
