My life has been an incredible journey. I worked hard throughout my high school years and excelled in both basketball and volleyball before graduating Newcomers High School in 1999. Someone once told me the deepest human defeat suffered by human beings is constituted by the difference between what one was capable of becoming and what one has in fact become. I guess I can start by saying that I have grown a lot since I first went to college back in the fall of 1999. I have attended and graduated from Grace Institute - a business program for women that helps them find jobs and new perspective in life. I have matured as a woman and mother and have excelled professionally as an Legal Administrative Assistant at one of New Yorks most prominent law firms. Working at Cahill Gordon & Reindel llp has helped me understand the true value of an education. Those factors have influenced me to take a good look at myself and realize that having a college degree will not only improve my life but will change it. I now have a better grasp and understanding of what it means to be successful regarding my life. I no longer feel like a failure. I am the mother of a wonderful little girl, I found my soul mate who keeps pushing & supporting me and I have a great job. I can not wait to graduate next May and see where life will take me next.
