Our group designs, constructs, and applies DNA and RNA nanostructures and nanodevices. By exploiting Watson-Crick base pairings, we can fold a long nucleic acid strand, a scaffold strand, into a desired form through self-assembly. We create both 2D and 3D nanostructures and even some that can move and change conformation! Our work also entails interfacing DNA with other functional materials and characterizing those materials. The applications of DNA and RNA nanostructures includes: biosensing, drug delivery, bioimaging, and computing.

A Resident Assistant (RA) is a well-rounded student staff member responsible for building a positive community by organizing creative social and educational activities, fostering a safe environment and establishing 1-on-1 relationships with residents. RAs promote student development by serving as a resource for academic support, housing policies and procedures and by encouraging involvement in the diverse campus community at USCB.

The Office of Admissions is looking for USCB students who are interested in sharing their college experiences with prospective students and their guests! A Sand Shark Ambassador is someone who is interested in sharing their college experiences with prospective students and their guests. Ambassadors represent the USCB student body, guide campus tours for prospective students and their guests, and assist with special events hosted by the Office of Admissions. The Student Ambassador position is a paid position, which pays $10/hour.
