Part-Time Teacher Assistant at Grace of Calvary Lutheran Afterschool Care
Addressing the extensive growth of an invaluable arm of Grace of Calvary's outreach in the community of Glendora (Greater than 85 students unrolled as of the 2014-15 school year), new faces were added to the ASC team, in order to not only better supervise, but also to stay within reach when help was needed with troubles both academic and play-related. In this position, I was able to provide crucial eyes and ears where my fellow staff members could not be, and helped provide for the fulfillment of the above goal. A significant win for this position was assisting a Fulbright Scholar from Azusa Pacific University in presentations for Science Week, during the 2015 summer camp! This position resumed summer one, in addition to the following duties: *Attendance-recorded student's presence in sign-in sheet upon entry *Tutoring-have offered assistance to students in program with regards to their homework * Stood-in and kept watch over students of staff members while they were on break
