Rafael Espericueta

Majored in Computer Science
Georgia Institute of Technology, Class of 2016
From Bakersfield, CA
I'm interested in a full-time position applying machine learning techniques to solve interesting problems. My dream job would involve deep learning using TensorFlow (or comparable tools). Currently my preferred languages are Python and R, but am willing to use other languages. In past years I've spent significant time programming in assembly language, APL, Pascal, C, C++, and C#; I've also spent somewhat less time programming in Euler, APL, Fortran, Lisp, Visual Basic, and Java. In addition to my programming skills, I've an MS in mathematics from UC Irvine, and was advanced to candidacy for the PhD. I have an excellent background in scientific programming, dynamical systems and cellular automata in particular. I've just completed an MS in computer science from Georgia Tech (Dec 2016), with a specialization in machine learning. I've also completed all 9 of the Johns Hopkins Data Science Specialization courses offered through Coursera (all but the capstone project). Currently I'm a tenured full-time professor of mathematics at Bakersfield College, but am ready for a career change, to follow my passion!
