Reza Alavi
I study Biology at Georgia State University. I'm following Pre-medicine program at GSU. Some of the activities I have done so far are volunteering at Grady Hospital at Orthopedics and inpatient care, AIDS walk, Relay for Life, Atlanta Medshare and shadowing (observing) Emory Orthopedics department's surgeries supervised by Dr. Moore (trauma specialist). I'm also an active Member and current officer of American Medical Student Association at Georgia State University (AMSA GSU) and an active member of Tri-beta Honor Biology Society. I have been fortunate to participate in the iGEM research project supervised by Dr. Brewer at Georgia State University.

- I have been elected as president of AMSA chapter at Georgia State University by members. As AMSA president I organize meetings with Medical Doctors and other health care professionals to speak for AMSA pre-medicine members. As president I manage to take members to AMSA national Convention and any other possible medical school conferences around the nation.

Supplemental Instructor (SI) leader at Supplemental Instructor
I am providing assistance to Chemistry students at Georgia State University. Lecture review and providing question package is part of what I do to help student enrolled in Chemistry I class of Dr Stroeva Spring 2014. Georgia State University has one of the largest SI program in the nation in which increase GSU graduation rate by 21 %.
