I am a recovering addict that is currently doing everything that I know to do to better my current and future life, not only for me but also children that I could have, family (both young and old), community, and mostly myself. I have never done anything for myself that will be helpful to me, I have always chosen to go about it in the wrong angles and wrong view, with the wrong people.
I finally pulled my head out of the sand, when I was over 1000 miles away from home, Clinton, on the run from Hickman, Fulton, and Graves Counties. From the death of my Mother in October 2012 to the suddenly shift in change from being in Drug Court in Hickman/Fulton Counties- I sat out on my own with a man that I thought that "hung the moon" and headed to Michigan February 2013. The man left me in Jackson, Michigan to either die, get killed, prostitute myself, get arrested, who knows around the mid of June 2013. I was home-less, car-less, man-less, drug-less, and extremely hope-less. When I finally decided that I have had enough of everything from murder, drug deals, drug runs, prostitution rings, abusive, etc. on Aug 17, 2013 I made the phone call that changed my life, I called my Grandparents to see if they'd come pick me up. I did not see any other way to do what I was doing up there anymore, and I thought that if I came home I would take care of my legal issues that I have, and then I could go back up there (if that is what I want).
