La'Kerri Jackson heads UPSs global strategy to advance youth empowerment and drive economic growth for underserved entrepreneurs and small businesses worldwide. She also leads UPSs Women Exporters Program (WEP), a transformative, global initiative helping entrepreneurs both women and men break barriers to poverty by accessing and thriving in global markets. Through this work, La'Kerri is reshaping the role of business as a force for inclusive economic growth.
With over 35 years of cross-functional experience spanning Social Impact, Business Development, Customer Service, Finance, Legal, HR, Corporate Affairs, U.S. Operations, and Security, La'Kerri has built a career defined by impactful leadership and transformative initiatives. She holds a BA in Leadership Studies, an ABA-approved Paralegal Certification, and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity, underscoring her lifelong commitment to learning, service, and community impact.
In 2025, La'Kerri was recognized twice for her leadership first as a Top 100 Corporate Impact Leader by We Make Change in partnership with the Blue Earth Summit, and soon after with the Alonzo Herndon Innovation Entrepreneurship Award from the Urban League of Greater Atlanta.
In addition to her corporate leadership, La'Kerri is the founder of The African Women's Economic Empowerment Initiative (TAWEEI) a deeply personal, game-changing venture expanding access to capital for women entrepreneurs across Africa. Since its launch in Spring 2023, TAWEEI has mobilized over $476.9 million Ugandan Shillings to empower over 4,000 women entrepreneurs to break cultural and generational poverty barriers, helping them scale their businesses, uplift and educate their families, and transform their communities.
A passionate mentor and empowerment champion, La'Kerri supports emerging leaders and entrepreneurs through leadership development, hands-on guidance, and capacity-building programs. She has been a featured mentor in initiatives such as the Atlanta Hawks SheLeads program, which equips emerging female leaders and entrepreneurs with the skills, confidence, and network to thrive.
She also serves as Co-Chair of the Corporate Council for CARE International, a global leader dedicated to ending poverty, and as a Board Director for Heart for Africa, an organization delivering HOPE to Africa in the areas of Hunger, Orphans, Poverty, and Education.
Beyond her corporate and personal ventures, La'Kerri enjoys family time, discovering new cultures through travel, and sharing her expertise to empower others.
