The Academic Program Award is awarded to a student in each represented program of major at Becker College. Students received awards at 2015 Honors Convocation. I was the recipient of the Exercise Science program award.
The Aspiring Scholar Award is presented to second- and third-year students in each area of study who will be continuing their studies and who show significant promise or early achievement. I received this award for the Exercise Science department.
As an Exercise Science Intern it was my duty and responsibility to gather information from different resources to provide healthful information to the Becker Community in the means of nutrition, workout programs, safety, and healthy recipes and snacks. This information can be utilized by all in order to achieve a healthier life style.
The BLUE CREW program is designed to give Becker College students an opportunity to identify and develop their leadership skills outside of the classroom. By attending a series of workshops, students are encouraged to examine their own personal leadership style, further their personal and professional goal building, and increase their exposure to opportunities for leadership at Becker College and beyond.
Red Watch Band is a program for college students to be prepared to handle situations of alcohol toxicity. I was the student who was passionate enough to train current Becker students in looking for the signs and symptoms of identifying alcohol toxicity and then performing the necessary actions to safely treat the affected individual.
