Samantha Patterson

I am a senior at Southern New Hampshire University, completing a bachelors degree in Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Development. I also am minoring in Education and Sociology. After graduation, I am interested in pursuing a career as a school counselor. During my time at SNHU, I have had the opportunity to be involved in the Chandler Center, where I work as a Service Learning Coordinator. The Chandler Center has also allowed me to volunteer to local communities, including a weekend alternative break focusing on reframing disabilities. I also have experience in education through my work as a teacher assistant and as an intern, when I partnered with the Manchester School District and the YMCA. While working at the YMCA, I worked with students from different cultures and different socioeconomic backgrounds. Through these experiences, I developed skills in adaptability, flexibility, and leadership and discovered that I really enjoy working with children. I am currently searching for Psychology related internships to gain experience and become more advanced within my field.
