I currently live in Millcreek, Utah, with my handsome husband and adorable family, who all may or may not be completely bonkers. We share our home with four unreliable guard dogs, seventy-three clocks that refuse to tell time, twelve vintage typewriters that do not work, and twenty-nine rescue orchids. My favorite foods are buttery popcorn and cinnamon cake donuts, and I never, ever leave home without a stick of vanilla lip balm in my pocket. (My tastes are undeniably fantastic!) In my spare time, when I'm not in school or writing new children's books, I collect vintage books, read nearly ten books a month, and adore collecting pumpkins. I also love to paint and roller skate, though never at the same time the mess is dangerously unavoidable. (I know, I've tried it!) I'm currently pursuing degrees in Anthropology with a concentration in environmental sustainability and in History, after a thirty-year break to raise a family and have a career as a paralegal. I look forward to a second vocation in this new chapter of my life once I graduate. My goal is to work with local museums, libraries, and aquariums to foster awareness of cultural and heritage management and environmental sustainability. In the meantime, I volunteer as a troop leader for both of my granddaughters' troops, advocating for the environment and bringing change to the world one Girl Scout at a time. Additionally, I volunteer with the Red Cross, the aquarium, and Women of the World in my community.
