Under the supervision of Dr. Luis de Lecea:
- genotype mice using PCR technology
- slice and stain mouse brains and mount them upon slides
- construct 3mm optogenetic ferrules for implantation in mouse brains
- characterize a novel G-protein found in the habenula using CRE optogenetics
