Activities & Affiliations
Seven nursing students in WKCTC's chapter of the National Federation of Licensed Practical Nurses (NFLPN) recently volunteered to help the Hugs Project of Western Kentucky with clean up, sorting and packaging. Several of the nurses' children and loved ones also helped. The Hugs Project of Western Kentucky is a 100% volunteer organization funded solely on donations, and sends care packages to deployed soldiers. WKCTC's Practical Nursing students at the Murray campus in collaboration with the Murray Senior Citizens Program recently presented wellness education to nearly 50 senior participants. The one-hour presentation included education tables with posters focusing on topics such as infection prevention, relaxation techniques, alternative pain relief methods, digestive problems, and fall prevention.Winter 2015-2016
