Saskia Verkiel
I used to work in Information Technology, but I discovered that I find the people much more interesting than the technology. So I got a MSc. equivalent degree in Physiological Psychology. Then decided to seek further wisdom and entered the field of Philosophy, in which I obtained a BA. I have been working on various projects in applied ethics, particularly in the domain of moral responsibility and neuroscience. The plan was to eventually write a Ph.D. thesis on that, but first I need to see to the mundane issue of making a living. I decided to that that in the optimal way by finding people that need help, helping them, and then sending them an invoice for it. This seems a pretty good way of doing things, and obviously, as a moral philosopher, I want to do what is good. UPDATE: as per September 1, 2014 I will at long last start on a Ph.D in Neuroethics at the Neuroscience Institute of Georgia State University under the supervision of Dr Nicole Vincent. The project is on moral enhancement. I am very excited about this! Specialties: categorical doubting, nitpicking, getting stuff organised
