Folashade Amole

Attending law school in one country is impressive enough. Folashade Amole can say shes attended law school in two. Amoles education in law began in Nigeria, where she obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree at Olabisi Onabanjo University and attended the Nigerian Law School where she was called to the Nigerian bar. She continued her education when she moved to the United States to attend the University of Iowa College of Law. It was in Nigeria where Amoles interest in law first began. She says she was influenced by the human rights issues in her home country in the late Nineties. I was fascinated by the works and writings of the late Gani Fawehinmi, one of the great human rights advocates in Nigeria, she says. At Iowa, Amole says she has enjoyed the support of all of her professors, whom she says have all made an impact on her life. Theyve taught her the importance of using your best lawyering voice and having confidence when you speak. The professors are always willing to help to help at every point in time, Amole says. Its like they never have bad or off days.
