Majoring in International Study Major, Minoring in Economics And Asian Study Minor
College of Charleston, Class of 2025
From Charleston, SC
Within the last few years, as I entered my twenties and soon to be heading to my mid-twenties, I am trying to cultivate the life I love. This includes promoting the growth of communities, environmental/ cultural empathy, pursuing innovation in technology, continuing to move, and advancing opportunities through mathematics education. This pursuit allows for a variety of interests in; Data Analytics, International Affairs, Sustainable Development, Finance, Photography, Data Visualization, Systems building, Economics, Arithmetic, Linguistics, Cultural assimilation, International Foreign Aid actors, Data Security, Relationship Building, Urban Design, AI, Metric systems, Research, and Information transference. I am currently working towards an International data analyst SQL/financial advising position (ESG research/risk analysis) including a PhD pursuit. I possess a solid understanding of essential concepts such as social science research design, ethical data collection, financial accounting, economic/international law, data analytics, computer languages, management, corporate marketing, economic/statistical formulas, calculus, as well as engineering, and visual software (eg. Tableau, Power Bi, Excel Pivot, Canva). Looking for positions where I can utilize previous expertise to conduct research and analyze data pertaining to sustainable development. I have completed sustainable development research in Nepal, Thailand, India, Cambodia, and South Korea. I make new sustainable technology systems from international multilateral systems to smaller-scale departmental operation systems presently, but I have been able to incorporate my photograph and Data background into a few international-related projects as well. If I were able to give you a glimpse into how all of these things compromise my life, remember, Shannon Feagin's sole intention is to help communities foster sustainable prosperity and celebrate the human experience by embodying a public servant.

CofC Lannie-Zlatoper Asian Departmental Grant Lannie-Zlatoper Issued by College of Charleston Mar 2024Issued by College of Charleston Mar 2024 Associated with the College of Charleston This is a $1,500 scholarship for students, an independent study curated that aims to explore the multifaceted aspects of Korean cultural perception by conducting an in-depth analysis of its economic and socio-cultural dimensions such as religion, philosophy, family dynamics, politics, and history, to shed light on the interplay between economically sustainable development and Korean societal views formed from cultural experience. The study ultimately aims to garner culture-oriented data on South Korea's perceptions of sustainability, by centering its research on Asian identity within South Korea, to correlate how these perceptions represent themselves on the global scale through economic activity. Ultimately, the study will help garner research methodologies on cultural perceptions and abet in the translations of cultural urban development in sustainable directions. The study design is lengthy and has taken a lot of personal time and resources. The study intends to collect its initial data through qualitative research methods such as interviews, literature reviews, and media analysis to collect South Korean perspectives on concepts in sustainability and related topics. The qualitative data must be primarily collected on-site in Seoul, South Korea via the Yonsei University YISS program. This data will then be transformed into quantitative data via SPSS, Central Limit Theorem for statistical parameters, and SQL code to generate needed web data and dashboards to analyze the data after my return. Publicly available quantitative data dealing with the subject will also be accepted and utilized. During my summer I worked towards obtaining an IBM data analytics certification to properly obtain and code the data.

Asia’s Multi-Lateral Influence on International Sustainable Development How Foreign Institutions Influence the Asian Commons
Development in cities, states, and countries has undergone increasing sustainability scrutiny since the industrialization age’s generations’ environmental movements. In response to a hole in the Ozone during the 1970s (Pasani, J. 2006); Conscious means of production and development have become a regulated matter in financial and governmental institutions alike. General society has increasingly pushed sustainability in social media, job forums, and consumer purchases outside of their initial 1970s political rallies. Unregulated international corporations play the main antagonist in development. They are often held responsible for the environmental degradation of natural resources in foreign regions due to their exploitation of finite resources for construction and development. As a result, there is a growing sentiment for corporations to adopt more sustainable practices, particularly in developing nations where the demand for natural resources is high due to rapid institutional development (Thurbon, 2023). The types of regulatory measures taken to prevent unregulated international corporations from exploiting the environment are broad stemming from a variety of global regulatory institutions, but they hold little enforcement power. The issue of ‘who regulates with what enforcement’ poses a philosophical conundrum of moral responsibility and who should be held responsible if everyone benefits from the use and exploitation of the resource. As Greer states in their study, those who are most impacted by the negative consequences of resource exploitation should hold the most authority over the utilization of the resource (Greer, 20212). However, because of the magnitude and interconnectedness of the global economic authority, deciphering who caused what environmental tragedy has become hard to identify when there are multi-state parties involved in the use of the common space. Thus, the responsibility of maintaining the integrity of the environment and its resources is left to those who are closest proximity to resources. This can include those who reside locally to the environmental resource and those who utilize the resource. Why would sustainability still need increasing levels of attention if so much has been accomplished since the original 1970s movements? Regulating what is and is not sustainable has become todays dilemma for the movement, due to the rapidly increasing scale of society's development towards a more global scale. International global development never led us to fewer environmental catastrophes, nor has cured hunger, social equity, or health crises as quickly as anticipated by previous academics (Ikenberry, 2018). Instead, as we begin to reach education equity, affordable housing, and equal opportunities, we experience devastating societal destruction from unforeseen environmental phenomena. As this study explores, Multi-lateral structures create their own stratospheres of environmental consequences and externalities. The prosperity and development of a collaborative group pose unintended negative consequences to those unable to participate in the broader society.
