• Independently designed, led, and executed a transfection efficiency study; Evaluated co-transfection rates in mutant and wildtype drosophila Schneider 2 (S2) cells at different cell concentrations. Efforts showed that the wildtype was a better transfection vector at 1.5 million cells per milliter, which resulted in a 2-fold increase in qualitative data production for the transfection protocol used in the Biology Post-Doctoral Program
• Produced and analyzed data for the heat shock protein 27 (HSP27) study; Qualitatively elucidated the mechanism and nuclear localization patterns of HSP27 in stressed drosophila Schneider 2 (S2) cells via transient co-transfections, cell immunocytofluorescence; analyzed cell data by utilizing Nikon software
• Cultured, manufactured, and maintained drosophila Schneider 2 cell lineage and drosophila genotype library (fly flipping)
