Qining Sun

Qining is a PhD Chemist with background in chemical engineering, wood science and technology & paper science engineering, having strong skills and experience in the development of renewable chemicals, polymers and advanced materials; synthesis of UF, UMF, MUF and PF adhesive resins for forestry products; bioconversion of lignocellulosic biomass to fermentable sugars; preparation of nanobiocomposite film and foam; manufacturing of lignin carbon fiber; paper coating and packaging. He undertook collaborative biorefinery projects (the conversion of biomass into biofuels and biomaterials) with funding support from Department of Energy (DOE) and Paper Science & Engineering (PSE) fellowship in collaboration with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, University of California--Riverside, Washington University-Saint Louis, and USDA.(http://bioenergycenter.org/besc/resources/publications.cfm) Qining is also an invited peer-reviewer for journals: Carbohydrate Polymers, Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Journal of Applied Polymer Science and Cellulose Chemistry and Technology.
