Sydney van der Heijden

I've been a student of the arts since I was a small child I suppose -even without classes or teachers to show me what to do, I had a passion for drawing and learned over time until I eventually began to take art classes in late middle school and all through high school. The collective knowledge from what is now six teachers under my belt from middle school to college has given me multiple views on how to do things -as well as knowledge in some art-related fields not within my major, such as animation, ceramics, and writing. Overall, I hope to make an impact in my field through the work of our current most popular medium of story-telling: video games. Though a few people might cringe at the idea, video games are among the most popular and flexible medium to date, and the characters impact us and teach us through the stories the artists put them through in order to both entertain and enlighten the individual playing the game.
