Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the strategic leadership of the Center for American and World Cultures (CAWC) and collaborating effectively across campus and community to enrich the educational experience. Develop strategic plan, programming, and financial plan for the CAWC, including assessment of all programs and services. Spearhead strategic campus-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives. Strategic Initiatives: Global Readiness Certificate: Spearhead strategic initiative to develop, implement, assess, and improve an undergraduate global and intercultural certificate designed to develop domestic and international intercultural competenciesdrawing on existing curricular and co-curricular programming and including experiential learning, study abroad or away, and individual reflection components. Intergroup Dialogue at Miami University: Spearhead strategic initiative to promote, leverage, and position the CAWC to serve as a centralized hub for, programs embedded with Intergroup Dialogue (IGD) theory and practice across the curricula with a view to advance individual inclusive excellence through deep, facilitated dialogue about complex issues surrounding racism, hetero/sexism, classism, and other identity topics.
