I am a true "Multipotentialite" in every sense of the word! After returning to college in my 40s, I earned three AA degrees from Modesto Junior College: 1. Sociology 2. Human Services 3. Behavioral Sciences. I earned those three degrees while raising my two children single-handedly. I have a son, Giovanni, and a daughter, Aciemarie. They are both adults now and living on their own. Now, as a Sociology Major here at Stanislaus State University, my plan is to eventually become a college professor. My hope is that I will be a perfect fit for a college seeking a diverse instructor who enjoys education and extreme laughter on an equal scale. Happiness is important to me, so I indulge in educational learning, freelance writing, and participating in entertainment events any chance I am able. In addition to freelance writing, I am also a singer, an actress, a motivational speaker, and a self-proclaimed interior designer! Currently, I work as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, and I have done so for the past three years. It is a difficult job, but at the same time, it is highly rewarding. I enjoy the aspect of seeing my patients break free from the trappings that the use of illicit drugs can cause and my heart warms when I witness sobriety change their lives over to clarity and positivity. I live my life to the fullest and I plan to continue doing just that! I surround myself with intellectual people who encourage and lift up all who surround them on every level. In doing so, I find that my life is wrapped up like a gift, filled with joyous intellectual interactions amongst multiple people, in various situations and conversations, where we are consumed with overwhelming amounts of laughter. I never meet a stranger, so life is always busy for me, and guess what? Busy. Well, that's just the way I like it!
