Tierra Thomas

Hello! I'm Tierra, an archivist in Atlanta, Georgia. I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, but moved to Georgia as a high school senior when my dad got a new job. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do when I graduated and ended up spending a year and a half at Georgia Perimeter College before transferring to Georgia State and majoring in history. My job in the archives as a student assistant made me interested in library school. With the help of a coworker and mentor, I went to UNC Chapel Hill for my Master's in Library Science with an archives focus. I graduated into a pandemic-riddled world and moved back in with my parents before finally getting a project position at Emory University. After a year in the workforce, I realized I wanted to spend more time using my creative mind and enrolled at SNHU to work on my writing.
