Work for agencies(types) include: Mississippi Department of Transportation/FHWA (Road/Bridge Projects and LPA), FEMA(Flood Elevation Cerctificates & P361 storm shelter), Mississippi Department of Health & Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality(Public Water & Sewer), & NRCS(emergency watershed protection & wetland restoration projects). Other design standards used frequently are International Building Code, ADA, MUTCD.
Engineering: Performed engineering calculations in advance of licensed engineers review. These calculations included foundation/soils analysis, hydraulic calculations for floodplains and drainage structures, hydraulic analysis for water systems.
Inspection & Testing: Performed inspections of construction sites, including erosion control inspection and traffic control inspection. Inspected bridges and processed inspection data in Inspectech. Inspected damage to sites after flood events for emergency repairs. Reviewed and prepared reports for testing of materials on projects.

Acquire permits from various state and federal agencies. Coordinate utility relocation for projects. Assemble contracts and specifications for various projects which include architectural Masterformat and multiple MDOT/FHWA related formats. Prepare preliminary engineering estimates and process monthly contractors estimates. Prepare and acquire documentation for closing projects.
Office Management: Coordinate projects between drafting department and field crews. Schedule and attend meetings with clients and various agencies. Prepare Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for record keeping and other calculations to streamline project design. Maintain office equipment and software including networking and other IT issues. Train employees for drafting, surveying and inspection. Check all plans and assist all employees in other duties.
DR-4442: Deployed on 10/01/19. Trained and served first duty as FEMA public assistance program delivery manager(PDMG). Duties were extended beyond PDMG duties. After 3 weeks began assisting TFL in mentoring team, and developing tools for operations and tracking. Setup spreadsheet to track progress of all Serco employees on the disaster. Developed guidance documents on project development including spreadsheets to generate DDD/SOWs. Attended Site Inspections and completed SIRs.
