Tsering Namgyal

Majoring in Economics, Minoring in Business
University at Albany, Class of 2016
From Woodside, NY
I bring analytical and research based approach to work, which helps me to systematically create plans and methods to execute difficult tasks. In addition, my education in economics helps to look at problems in both perspectives, the firms and the country's' in what is known as micro and macroeconomics. Thus, I have the ability to increase value to either the company's profit margin or the country's GDP in an efficient and effective manner. Moreover, my experience interning at both public and private sector has enhanced my knowledge of commerce and law. Interning at the Office of Assemblymember Cahill was both rewarding and insightful - helping locals on 103rd district gain independence from restrictive taxes and improving the welfare of women in New York State by enacting legislation, which expanded comprehensive contraceptive drugs. Currently I am interning at National Securities Corporation and there I have developed keen interest in finance. As a summer analyst I am responsible for researching possible mergers, review stock performances, and contact analysts to isolate potential investments for the firm.
