Valerie Bellario

I am a recent graduate of Graceland University's Family Nurse Practitioner program. This is my second Masters of Science in Nursing- my first was in nursing education. My background is in mental health nursing and primary care of the family, with a dash of home health and a sprinkle of post partum care in my smorgasbord background. I excel at diet and lifestyle education and assisting adult patients to be in control of their type II diabetes. I enjoy pediatrics and infectious disease. My interests are in urgent care, pediatrics, and family care. My goals are to continue study in the areas of emergent care, musculoskeletal injuries, and spanish. What I enjoy most about nursing is the ability to relate to patients from a broad spectrum of cultures. I believe strongly in withholding judgment, honoring personal culture, and facilitating education that puts patients in charge of their health and well being. My hobbies are my kids, my cats, my home, and Salsa dancing.
