Victor Ordonez

Hello, my name is Victor Ordonez, I was born and raised in Honduras, when I was 17 I came to study in the United States, I left my country with the aim of becoming a nurse. I am currently enrolled in Northwest Mississippi community college for the fall. Throughout my life, I have gone through many schools, I have met different teachers who have marked my life completely, but today the most important moment of my life has arrived, a step in my nursing career. I have never considered studying as an obligation but as an opportunity to enter the wonderful world of knowledge, with many opportunities ahead. I am a very noble person with a great heart to help people, although I do not know them I feel that I have an obligation to support them. In Summer 2020 I had the opportunity to live with the elderly and provide care and service in a Senior Assisted Living for 4 months, I learned to connect with them, I learned their needs, their state of mind, and how to give them joy. My goal in my Career is to connect in the same way with patients to give them the best care and above all peace of mind knowing that they are in good hands but all this did not start here, I have the dream of becoming a nurse since I was a child because from my young age I suffered a lot from asthma and I usually spend a lot of time in the hospital surrounded by doctors and nurses, and since then I admire his work to help children and the elderly, currently heal me from asthma, and there is no better way to thank him than giving my support, love, and knowledge to others people who need help, it should be noted that I am a foreign student residing in this beautiful country, two years ago I moved, since then my focus has been this and it would be a I dream of being the first generation in my family to graduate from college in the United States. The road has not been easy, the cultural contrast, the language and although I do not come from a family with money I have always been positive, my motto is "if you can dream it, you can achieve it" and I will continue fighting for what I want. my goal is to go far and I can't find a better opportunity than this to achieve my goals since I just couldn't, I intend to stand out in my career be one of the best in my profession and continue to be one of the best to improve This country, although I cannot change the world, my goal is to leave a mark. With the extensive knowledge, I gain I could achieve it and one day I will be able to say I DO IT.
