Student at USC Aiken majoring in Middle Level Education, minoring in English/Social Studies
I am currently a junior Middle Level Education major at USC Aiken with dual concentrations in English and social studies instruction. On campus, I am involved in many activities and organizations that have helped me to prepare for my career as an educator.
I am an English tutor in the campus Writing Room, where I have worked since Fall 2016, and am now the lead English tutor in the First PACE program and a Pacer Pathways T.A. I am also the current Co-Lead in the Writing Room.
Over time, I have become involved in the Silent Crusaders Sign Language Club as a member, its Campus and Community Relations Coordinator, and Vice President. It is in this club that I have been most involved in community service and leadership. I also frequently volunteer with the USCA UNITY Club, a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community on campus.
I was involved in our campus newspaper, Pacer Times, for over a year in various positions, from Contributing Writer to Copy Editor Assistant to Copy Editor. I am also the Public Relations Coordinator for our campus literary/visual arts magazine, Broken Ink and have represented both organizations on the Student Government Association as the Student Media Representative.
As the Guild of Poetic Intent President and an English lover, I am also committed to sharing poetic works with the student body. In everything I do on campus, I have a passion for people and love volunteering my time to lift others up and help them succeed.
