Austin State UniversityMember of the Community College Student Advisory Council selected by a coalition of advocacy agencies in Texas, including Young Invincibles, Every Texan, Breakthrough Central Texas, and The Education Trust in Texas, as part of Texas PACE (Postsecondary Advocates Coalition for Equity). The Student Advisory Council is composed of current community college students and recent alumni who will follow the work of the Commission, provide feedback and recommendations, and engage directly with Commission members. Includes training and education that will include storytelling, policy analysis, media training, legislative training, and advocacy.
Twelve representatives were selected to represent Texas Community College students and to advise the Texas Commission on Community College Finance created by SB 1230 at the 87th session of the Texas State Legislature.
