As an applied behavioral technician (ABT) I was responsible for implementing behavior modification programs for individuals with behavioral disorders or developmental disabilities. Here are some of the tasks that as a ABT, I performed: As a ABT I did a lot of conducting assessments. As a ABT I assessed individuals' behavior patterns, strengths, and areas for improvement to develop personalized intervention plans. I implemented treatment plans as an ABT, following the treatment plans created by behavior analysts and technicians to help individuals improve their social, communication, and daily living skills.
There was also data collection, as an ABT I recorded data on target behaviors to track progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary. DrIving family to family, client to client, I delivered therapy sessions. As a ABT I provided one-on-one therapy sessions to clients, teaching them new skills and addressing challenging behaviors using evidence-based techniques such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). My duties also required monitoring behavior. Observed and monitored clients' behavior during therapy sessions, school settings, or other environments, making notes on progress, interventions used, and any changes in behavior. Very team oriented, collaborating with team members, as a ABT I frequently collaborated with behavior analysts, parents, teachers, and other professionals to discuss progress, align goals, and receive feedback on interventions. This also required parent and caregiver training, being an ABT often provided training to parents and caregivers to ensure the generalization of skills taught during therapy sessions to daily routines and settings. As an ABT I was trained to respond to and manage crisis situations, employing appropriate strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviors safely. Was part of Behavior support planning as a ABT, I had to assist in developing behavior support plans that identify triggers for problem behaviors and interventions to address them effectively and bring behaviors to extinction. Went to my supervisor and offices for documentation and reporting. As a ABT I had to maintain thorough documentation of client progress, behavior data, and therapy notes. I also prepare reports for behavior analysts and other stakeholders.

The settings I worked in were clinics, schools, or in-home services, with children, adults, individuals with specific diagnoses. All within the autism spectrum.

To operate an RC (Remote Control) stand-up forklift, I had to acquire on-site the following skills and knowledge. RC Transmitter was the first, this is the handheld device used to control the movement and operations of the forklift. It sends signals to the receiver on the forklift, instructing it on what actions to perform. An RC Receiver is the second, this is typically installed on the forklift and receives the signals from the transmitter. It acts as the "brain" of the forklift, interpreting the commands and controlling the motors and other components accordingly. Third was the Power Source. RC forklifts usually require batteries to power their motors, receiver, and other electrical components. Depending on the specific model, it may use rechargeable batteries or disposable batteries. Prior to being assigned a forklift I had to learn the Operating Manual. It is essential to have the operating manual for the RC forklift, which provides instructions on how to control and operate the forklift safely. This includes information on button functions, operating range, battery maintenance, and safety guidelines.
