Williams Salako
I am a senior at Georgia State University and expect to graduate this spring (May 2016) with my B.B.A in finance.
I've worked various full time jobs throughout high school and college, but have found a liking in working in the Automotive Industry. My abilities to cope with working full time and being a full time student have proved to be challenging, but thanks to my very supporting family and will to achieve I've succeeded in maintaining a competitive gpa, my duties at work and developing long term relationships with friends and clients.
Campus involvement is also very important to me, so I've dedicated my time in organizing campus affairs as a member of the Student Government Association while attending LaGrange College. I then eventually transferred to Georgia State University and began working with the Finance Society Organization aimed at connecting and networking students in the field of finance with other finance majors and graduates.
I am currently employed at Atlanta Classic Cars (Mercedes-Dealer) in Duluth which I am proud to say has been a recipient of the Atlanta Consumers' Choice Award for business excellence 8 years in a row now. My responsibilities are illustrated in my resume.
My ultimate goal is to be able to serve people in need because giving back to my community and people that need help is what motivates me to achieve my goals. 5 years from now I see myself adapting to the world of finance and/or investments, taking those skills to new heights. 20 years from now I see myself applying those same skills while also helping people achieve their financial goals. I strongly believe the individuals I encounter throughout my journey will help influence achieving my goals as I advance in my career.
