Dr. Yankuo Qiao earned his Ph.D. in Management (Finance) from Rutgers Business School-Newark and New Brunswick at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Finance at The George B. Delaplaine Jr. School of Business, Hood College. Previously, he worked as Visiting Professor in Finance at the School of Business Administration, Oakland University, Deans Dissertation Fellow at Rutgers University-Newark, and Coadjutant Faculty at Rutgers Business School and Rutgers University Newark Institute at Northeast Normal University (RUNIN). Dr. Qiao's research interests lie in Corporate Finance, Managerial Finance, Applied Microeconomics, Corporate Social Responsibility and Machine Learning and Textual Analysis in Finance. His research has appeared in more than a dozen of scholarly journals including Review of Managerial Science, Managerial Finance, and Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences. His research has been presented in numerous seminars and conferences including Western Economic Association Annual Meeting, International Atlantic Economic Conference, World Finance and Banking Symposium, Financial Management Association and American Finance Association Annual Meeting. He is also an editorial board member of Economics, Financial Economics Letters and SCIREA Journal of Economics, and an ad hoc reviewer for academic journals such as Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, and Review of Managerial Science.
