It is a well-known saying in the financial industry. With great passion to money and power, many practitioners are obsessed with chasing after this kind of "Opportunity". Wealth accumulates, as well as risk. When people fail to manage the risk, disaster comes. That's also how 2008 Crisis happened. As a graduate student majoring in Risk Management, I aim at helping people in financial industry take this "Opportunity" properly. With undergraduate background in Actuarial Science, I have strong foundation of risk recognition, risk measurement and risk diversification. Now I am using my combined background to further advance my professional skills in risk management. Not only insurance risk, I am also interested in dealing with risk in stock, debt and derivative etc. So, in my dictionary, this statement needs some adjustment: "Risk is Opportunity, but only MANAGING the Risk can help you seize the Opportunity."
