Aaron Cappiello

I have been a part of the hospitality and restaurant management industry from a young age. Starting at my families bread bakery when I was only 11 years old. I have firsthand experience with the front and back of the house operations. Early mornings on weekends making bread from scratch, to working the cash register, handling money, and serving customers every day after school during the week. Being exposed to the wide scope of the restaurant industry at such a young age created a good foundation for my work ethic. Moving on from the bakery, I got a job as a bagger at Acme Markets grocery store. Starting with just bagging groceries and pushing carts, moving up through a cashier position, to finally ending with a position at the self checkout stand. Working as the SCOT attendant meant watching 5 registers at once, answering the main phone, making sure all front end employees got the right length and number and of breaks, and occasionally assigning small tasks to other employees. I was required to be quick on my feet, help every customer that had issues with the machine, manually input all coupons, run price checks, and keep my station clean and organized. I really enjoyed the self checkout position, as I was constantly moving around, saying busy, and had the ability to help multiple people at once. I have a big interest in the hospitality industry, mainly the restaurant management aspect. Though any area where I can be moving around, helping people, and not be stationary is what I'm really interested in.
