The Oxbridge Academy-Cambridge University Scholars Program

Selected through a rigorous video application process. Traveled to Cambridge, England for two weeks in the spring of my junior year to study British Literature and Social/Political movements in Britain. Wrote an essay and graded by Cambridge professors. Received an A letter grade on the essay. Defended the thesis of the essay in a supervision session with a Cambridge faculty member.

Became one of the first 12 peer tutors to staff the new Writing and Reading Center. Completed a semester long course on how to tutor students in writing. Organized advertising for the center, created resources to use for the center, helped design the center. Created workshops to help students with their writing.

#1 ranked debater in the district & state and #2 nationally ranked Public Forum debater. Champion of the 2018 National Catholic Forensic League Grand Finals Tournament. Officer responsibilities included organizing judges ballots and creating weekly updates about the current topic and general strategies for debate. Captain responsibilities included organizing and running practices for other team members and teaching less experienced teammates overarching concepts. Qualified to the Florida Forensic League State Championship Tournament (9-12). Qualified to 9 national debate tournaments (10-12), top 16 at the National Catholic Forensic League Grand Finals (10th) and 8th at the National Speech and Debate Association National Tournament (11th).
