I am a junior at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I have recently completed a semester abroad in Differdange, Luxembourg, an experience which as reaffirmed my ambition to work and live abroad once I graduate. Though I am in the College of Arts and Sciences, I wish to make an positive impact on the environment and other challenging global issues, though I do have a passion for the arts, history, and the humanities.

I won the Mary Jo Priest Award in Professional Writing for the best Rhetorical Analysis. All students in the English Department are welcome to submit their work, and the competition is judged by an impartial panel. My winning piece was entitled "When the Pen is Mightier than the Sword: FDR's Address to a Devastated Nation."
