Alyssa Ackerman

I am currently a second-year student at The University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business. I am currently taking fundamental business courses and determining where my interests lie for future studies. At the moment, I am very interested in Business Analytics and Information Systems and will be furthering my knowledge in regards to this field in the Spring 2024 semester. On campus, I am highly involved within University of Iowa's Dance Marathon. I am a Morale Captain, and work closely with students, dancers, and the community to raise awareness and monetary funds for families affected by pediatric cancer at the Stead Family Children's Hospital. Formerly, I was Alpha Delta Pi's Vice President of Recruitment. I taught fundamental conversation skills for a sorority-recruitment style scenario and improved morale and disposition within our chapter. As I look into the future, I am excited to increase my knowledge within the Business and Computing realms, to develop the skills necessary for my success in a BAIS major.
