Starfish Regeneration
I have spent the last two summers working in the Hinman Biology Lab at Carnegie Mellon University. This lab deals with the expression of genes in echinoderms during regeneration. Specifically, I focused on the regeneration of starfish larva and the effects of different drugs that hinder cellular level-processes during regeneration. My greatest contribution has been my ability to cut and wound starfish larva on microscopic levels.
