As a dedicated and passionate full-stack software engineering student, I am eager to gain hands-on experience as a full stack software engineering intern. With experience as an instructional assistant at App Academy, I have developed a strong foundation in coding and an ability to simplify complex concepts for others. In my recent internship as a software engineer at TheCommonsXR, I collaborated with a team of engineers to convert the company's website to React, adding new design elements and functionality, as well as troubleshooting and debugging issues related to frontend development. Coming from a biology background, I have always had a niche for knowing how things work. This is why programming naturally came to me as an interest. The logical thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities that I cultivated through my biology background seamlessly transferred to programming. I found that the structured nature of coding mirrored the systematic approach required in biology, allowing me to apply my scientific mindset to create efficient algorithms and build robust software solutions. Throughout my education at App Academy and Southern New Hampshire University, I have gained skills in a variety of technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React/Redux, PostgreSQL, SQL, Flask, AWS, Express.js, CSS, HTML, Java, and C++. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new languages and skillsets, playing video games, oil painting, reading, cooking, and snowboarding. As demonstrated by my projects, CAMPLIFE and EVENTTODO, I am committed to leveraging my skills and creativity to build compelling web applications. My portfolio and GitHub profile provide a glimpse into my coding expertise, while my past work experiences as a bartender and closing scheduler at Cosmos and Homebridge Financial respectively, have honed my communication and teamwork skills. I am excited to join a team where I can grow as a software engineer and make meaningful contributions to the company's projects.
