Andy is a charismatic, passionate, and diligent professional that analyzes social problems and develops innovative solutions and programs to change the lives and community around him. Currently, he is a social work candidate developing and refining his clinical and leadership skills respectively in order to reinvent and improve service systems to help marginalized populations. Andy believes that his civic duty is to not only improve the lives of others around him, but to also engage, educate, and recruit other professionals, organizations, and companies to become conscientious of community problems and needs. In the future, Andy intends to couple his education and background in social work with a professional doctorate in law to inspire young minds, and further advocate for families and children to his optimal potential.

Title IV-E/CalSWEC provides federal matching funds to improve the quality of care of children in foster care, reduce the number of children in foster care, return children to their homes as soon as conditions permit, and facilitate the adoption or permanent placement of children who cannot be returned to their homes. Upon graduation, the students work in county child welfare services for a period of time equal to the period for which they received support.
