We were tasked with finding a dataset to perform regression analysis methodology on. Our team of 5 decided to scrape the The Movie Database with a Python script to create a data set with 150+ data values. Then we performed several iterations of regression analysis to create a final forecasting model to predict movie revenue based on different factors.

In a group of 9 and working with the instructor, we were assigned the task of creating a 2 stage optimization model to decide when to release airplanes at at an airport according to a queue list. Using high level decision models and formulations, we created an optimization with a metric to support the model.

CS 3750 User Interface Design Project
In this project, our goal was to use the human centered design process to pick a surface and innovate a solution for its problem. We picked MARTA, the Atlanta transportation system, and analyzed its issues to create a solution. We set out to improve MARTA without actually changing the infrastructure. Through a proposal and ideation, we ended with 3 ideas. From these ideas, we were able to prototype a final product of an improved MARTA Breeze Card app.

This project was a trading simulation to give us the opportunity to be engaged with actual trading and portfolio management activities without any financial loss. We applied concepts learned during the course to achieve the highest gain and Sharpe Ratio.

In this project, our group chose a topic/research question to collect data on. We chose to analyze to see if there was a home advantage in the NFL with hypothesis testing. Using statistical methods from the class, we analyzed our data and made a conclusion.
