Anne Leonardo
As I wrap up my final year at Wesleyan University, I am excited to pursue my passions for research, policy, and human rights in the professional realm.
In the wake of the election, I joined with a group of students to establish #CallToAction, a national phone banking campaign to contact representatives about proposed legislation and national issues. I organize the research team, leading weekly fact-gathering initiatives that allow us to engage officials in productive conversations. This campaign has put into practice academic skills I have been honing throughout my time at Wesleyan. My coursework has helped polish my ability to conduct research and analyze evidence, allowing me to develop coherent and compelling arguments and suggestions. Deeply pragmatic, I consistently set and achieve realistic goals in every task I undertake, professional or otherwise.
