February, 05 2018 - Verified by Cedarville UniversityI perform a variety of skills at Women's Health for Life. I have scanned countless paper charts to help the practice go paperless. I answer phone calls and direct patients to the professional who will be able to offer the most assistance. I schedule appointments and help the providers in any way necessary. I really enjoy having an opportunity to work with people of all ages at this office. We interact with patients from 12-90 years old.
I work at Women's Health for Life in the summer and during Christmas break. These are the busiest times at the office.
For the fall semester of 2017, I was hired to take notes for a course called Politics and American Culture. I submitted the notes to the "Cove" and to a student in need of them.
For the spring semester of 2018, I was hired to take notes for a course called Exceptionalities and Behavior. I submitted the notes to the "Cove" and to a student in need of them.
For the spring semester of 2019, I was hired to take notes for Methods I courses. I submitted the notes to the "Cove" and to a student in need of them.
For the spring semester of 2019, I was hired to take notes for Methods II courses. I submitted the notes to the "Cove" and to a student in need of them.
I tutor students for the Praxis CASE Math Exam. This is exam must be passed in order to be accepted into the Cedarville University Teacher Education Program. This involves creating and grading worksheets to help students review math concepts and increase their critical thinking skills. I meet with each student once a week for a one-on-one review tutoring session.
I performed many tasks as an Activities Assistant at Lost Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. I made and served snacks as well as transported residents across the facility. I was the "Bingo Specialist." I played games with the residents and visited each room to hold one-on-one interactions with each resident. I painted nails and read to residents. I sang and prayed for residents upon request. I cleaned and did paperwork (on the computer and on paper). I completed courses each month to increase my knowledge, skill level, and to become the best Activities Assistant possible. I worked 4 hours a month from August to April (during the school year) and up to 20 hours a week during summer break.
