I am a resourceful, dedicated educator whose purpose is to nurture the upcoming generations so they may develop into the best versions of themselves as well as attain the confidence required to fulfill their goals, become productive citizens, and build towards a positive future. My strengths are in creativity, execution, strategic thinking, decision making, conflict resolution, relationship building, and leadership. Throughout my career, I have showcased my strengths as a teacher, planning and facilitating engaging learning experiences for students; as a science department chair, leading the science team in curriculum development and instruction; as a member of the Blytheville School District Personnel Policy Committee and high school culture committee, collaborating with other district and school personnel and informing decisions; and as co-founder and director of the Girls Reaching All Concepts of Excellence (GRACE) Mentorship Program, ensuring its successful startup and implementation. Currently, I serve as the Director of School Culture & Family Engagement at a charter school in East Harlem. In this role, I oversee the creation and maintenance of a positive, safe, and supportive school environment that promotes academic success and social-emotional learning. My responsibilities include cultivating strong relationships with families and community partners, and coordinating various initiatives, events, and projects that enhance the school-wide culture and student engagement. I hold a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, Politics, and Advocacy (ELPA) from NYU Steinhardt and an Advanced Certificate in Management for Public and Nonprofit Organizations from NYU Wagner. These academic achievements have equipped me with a strong foundation in educational leadership and management, allowing me to effectively contribute to the development of students, educators and other professionals. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, reading, binge-watching shows, and learning to dance salsa and bachata. I am a lifelong learner, currently pursuing my instructional design and online learning certification at IDOL Academy, and I will be starting my PhD program in Educational Policy Studies at Georgia State University this summer.
